My first love is photography. So, the internet has given me a platform to have lots of fun. Five years ago I found eBay. My dad had left me about 1,000 pieces of sheet music. Both of us were avid music fans of any song written between 1920-1960. I wondered what they were worth so I went to eBay to find out. 6 months later I had bought another 200 pieces of sheet music off of eBay. I decided to try my hand at selling. I called all my friends when I got my first bid. I started scrounging through my home looking for anything I thought I could sell.
Within a year of supplementing my income by $200 a week, I became a PowerSeller. It was a big deal to me. And then disaster struck. I was a contract Web Designer and over a period of 3 months finished off all my contracts and realized I didn’t have a job.
No problem. I’ll just double my inventory on eBay and make $400 a week. Guess what - it didn’t happen. That’s when I realized I had to become a serious seller if I were going to survive.
My primary goals today are to sell in different venues and not rely on eBay for 100% of my income. So, I have a website, am looking into selling on Amazon.com and now a blog. Who could have figured!
My goal is to keep a positive attitude and keep moving on. That’s been difficult in light of eBay’s recent rule changes. But I do see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Come back often and I will take you on my journey to improve my internet marketing skills and hopefully you will pick up some valuable information along the way.
